    Postal Stationery 1948: Oval 2½ d. red + 2½ d. red postal stationery envelope with "P.M.G. - P.M.354" imprint above deleted by six black bars Comforts Fund red icons, sent airmail (2 d. + 3 d. airmail) to Lae, New Guinea cancelled by 'Air Mail Service / Melbourne' cds. "LAE / PAPUA NEW GUINEA" cds on reverse with 'Not Known Lae, Try Rabaul' and "RABAUL / PAPUA NEW GUINEA" datestamp (March 10, 1948) above. Returned to Melbourne (March 16). Unlisted printed to Private Order envelope - for a similar usage see Brusden White ES87. The permit holder for No. 354 was Roy Robbins, Turf Commission Agent.
