1849 (March 19): Entire letter from Glen Duart, Broulee to Port Phillip, wiht an attempt at fraud as endorsed 'OHMS' twice, struck on despatch with octagonal framed "FREE / BROULEE" in red - with "FREE" deleted in manuscript and charged '1/3d.' to collect. Reverse with fine "BROULEE / ♚ / MA 19 / 1849 / NEW S. WALES" in red, circular "GENERAL POST OFFICE / ♚ / SYDNEY" in black (March 24) and oval "MELBOURNE / ♚ / PORT PHILLIP" arrival in black (April 2).
