    Galatz 1864: Arms 10 s. blue, perf. 9½, two single examples and a vertical pair used on 1867 cover from Galatz to Montpellier, France via Strasbourg endorsed "via Vienne and Paris"; the adhesives initially cancelled by pen crosses (2) and the pair with manuscript "Galatz 14/5" cancellation in ink. Cancelled again in transit in Vienna with circular "1" obliterators in black. Reverse with Montpellier arrival (May 21). Slight acid ink fault on obverse but a magnificent and early usage.
