    1914 (Dec. 19.): 1d carmine, four examples and 1/2d. green as franking for registered letter from LOME to DEVENTER in the Netherlands. The German Regisitration label LOME bears the n umber 370, a British 202 is also on the front of the letter. The letter is censored in red ink by Steed Pope, a much earlier signature than previously recorded by Martin and Walton. A very scarce letter with transit LONDON (5. Jan) and arrival DEVENTER (7. Jan.).
