    1843 (Nov 24): Double rate entire letter from Port Louis to Bordeaux endorsed "via England pr. Belle Créole", with circular MAURITIUS / POST OFFICE despatch cds's in black, mailed via the Cape of Good Hope and landed in London with str. line "SHIP LETTER" in black (Robertsoon S36) and "1/4d." charge for double the incoming ship rate. "COLONIES / &c. ART. 12" applied in London in red (Feb 27) thence via Boulogne to Bordeaux where charged '30' décimes due in manuscript.
