Cobbe, regarding life in the Gambia, the threat of fever and his possible appointment as the next Lieutenant Governor, struck in transit with fine "DEAL / SHIP LETTER" in black (Robertson S8). Rated '8' pence due in manuscript for an incoming Ship Letter, reverse with London cds (Nov 7) and Dublin arrival (Nov 8) both in red.
