    1855/56: Lithographed by Campbell & Fergusson 2 d. lilac, imperforate, an unused horizontal pair in a pale shade, corner marginal from lower left of sheet (QV-RW), of splendid appearance, large part og. Rare so fine - a famous multiple: illustrated in Geoff Kellow's seminal "Stamps of Victoria" on colour plate 5. Cert. RPSL (2000) Gi = £ 1'300+.rnProvenance: Collection Arthur Hind, Harmers, London, 2-4 July 1934, lot 3356. As a strip of three, described as 'immaculate'; Corinphila sale 56, Zurich, 8-13 Oct 1973, lot 7058; Collection John Boker, Harmers, London, 14 April 1987, lot 188. As a pair.rnNote: In the late 1890's a block of nine of this stamp was discovered. This pair emanated from same, as did the marginal pair which was lot 187 in the Boker sale. Contrary to the certificate from the RPSL, the pair has large part original gum, as described in the three above sales.rn
