    1869: Double rate Envelope with an insured value of 3'000 francs mailed from Alger to Toulouse, forwarded to Lévignac-s-Save, bearing Napoléon laureated 5 fr. violet-grey, a fine and fresh example of this difficult stamp in mixed franking with Cérès 1872 30 c. brown and pair 80 c. rose, all stamps with fresh colour and good perforation, tied by perfect strikes of Gros Chiffres '5005' lozenge with matching timbre indicatif de chargement in red alongside. Reverse with two ambulants, indistinct TOULOUSE transit and "LEVIGNAC-S-SAVE" arrival (Aug 3) cds's. A most attractive rare high value franking, rarely seen from Algeria, cert.
