    1865 (20.May): 20c. on 15c. blue "FERRO DI CAVALLO" type II, six fresh examples forming a horizontal strip of five and a single on transatlantic letter from Messina via France to New York.  The franking is affected by two vertical filing creases, otherwise the letter is in very fine condition. A 5 June New York mark in red contrasts beautifully with the stamps and the envelope. A rare letter with certificate Raybaudi (2001).
