    1858 (26. May): 40c. dark-blue, horizontal pair of great freshness, displaying both types, affixed to letter from PIACENZA to ANNONAY.  The stamps cancelled by a strike of the single circle "PIACENZA" (26. May). The left hand stamp displays the the "stretto" stretched variety "0" the right hand stamp displays the normal 0. The letter bears the transit marks TORINO (27. May), and two further French marks as well as an arrival ANNONCY (30. May). A very rare pair on cover.  Signed Fiechi (1973) and E. Diena with certificates (1978).
