1852 (Feb 27): Cover from Blythe Bros. in Mauritius to Thos. N. Yule, Acting Colonial Secretary of Western Australia in Perth, with "♛ / MAURITIUS / GPO" datestamp (Feb 27) of despatch with "Ship Letter" in black and red manuscript '4d.' at upper left. Missent to London with "SHIP LETTER / ♛ / LONDON" cds (June 3) in red and Perth, Scotland arrival cds (June 4) in black at right. Manuscript "Not for Perth, Scotland" and "Supposed for Western Australia", struck with somewhat surprisingly rare two line "MISSENT / TO ENGLAND" in red with '8d.' manuscript charge deleted.
