Anglo-Nepalese War 1814-1816: Covers (2) with first cover showing well struck rectangular seal in black on reverse of cover from Butwal addressed to the King of Nepal in Kantipur from General Amir Singh Thapa, commander-in-chief of the King's forces with much docketing in red script, the second cover with superb impression of square seal in black of Aachal Singh Thapa addressed to the Prime Minister, Bhimsen Thapa. Fresh and very fine for these early covers.rnNote: Bhimsen Thapa (1775-1839), was Prime Minister of Nepal when the British East India Company invaded Nepal in 1814.
