Nyasaland-Rhodesian Force 1916 (Aug-Sept): Nyasaland 3 d. purple on yellow, overprinted 'N.F.' at Zomba in black, a used example showing variety "Double Overprint", being a single example from the one strip of six subjects known issued in M'bamba Bay Post Office, German East Africa; neatly cancelled by "FIELD POST OFFICE / 8 / 3 MAR" circular datestamp (3 March, 1918) in black. No unused examples exist - with just five examples in private hands, one example being housed in the collection of His Majesty King Charles III. One of the great British Colonial rarities. Cert.
