1870 (Feb 11): Cover from Cette, France to Livorno, bearing Napoléon laureated 20 c. blue type II (Yv 29B), tied by Gros Chiffres '822' lozenge with matching despatch cds alongside. First struck with framed PD in red, this handstamp erased and replaced by "AFFANCHISSEMENT INSUFFISANT" handstamp in red. Upon arrival in Livorno taxed with 40 centesimi, Italian Segnatasse 1869 10 c. brown orange and 1870/74 30 c. ochre & carmine added to the obverse and cancelled with Livorno datestamp (Feb 16, 1870).
