    Province Napoletane 1861: 5 gr. 'rosso carminio' showing the extremely rare variety: double frame at base 'doppio filetto di riquadro in basso', in combination with 2 gr. 'celeste' and 1 gr. 'grigio scuro', three good to large margined adhesives, fine and fresh, well embossed, tied by two strikes of clear thimble "NAPOLI 16 OTT. 61 4 S" despatch cds, an information strike alongside, on cover to Foggia. Reverse with arrival cds (Oct 17). A splendid three colour franking, especially in combination with this elusive variety, correctly paying the quadruple letter rate in the Italian tariff of March 1861. Signed A. Diena; cert.
