    'Faux pour servir': Entire letter written in Marseille on April 1st, 1871 and directed to Aix, bearing Bordeaux Faux de Marseille 20 c. blue, a fine and fresh example with good to large margins, not postmarked, no datestamps struck to the cover. A very rare item with this forgery, in this case obviously detected and presumably sequestered by the postal administration. Signed Calves; cert. E.
