Niger Company Territories / Akassa 1895: Great Britain 1887 Jubilee 2½ d. purple on blue, a single example used on 1895 cover to Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, struck with fine oval "THE ROYAL NIGER COMPANY CHARTERED & LIMITED / AKASSA" despatch (Sacher Type 5, SG Type 3) in violet (April 5) with further information strike alongside; the adhesive also tied in transit by "I. A. / LIVERPOOL / BR. PACKET" datestamp (May 9) in black. Reverse with back flap missing but with complete and clear 'Te Aute' arrival cds (June 22) in black.
