Niger Company Territories / Akassa 1893: Great Britain 1887 Jubilee 2½ d. purple on blue, a single example perfin CMS of Church Missionary Society (and embossed CMS seal on flap), used on 1893 cover to London, struck with fine oval "THE NIGER TERRITORIES / POST OFFICE / AKASSA" despatch (Sacher Type 2, SG Type 1) in violet (Jan 19); the adhesive tied on arrival by "PAID / LIVERPOOL / BR. PACKET" datestamp (Feb 23) in black. Reverse with London arrival cds in red.
