    Issued at Old Calabar 1893 (Dec): 'Half / Penny' in violet on Great Britain 2 d. grey-green & carmine, an unused horizontal strip of three with Gibbons Type 7 handstamped surcharge in violet, marginal from left of sheet with central stamp showing variety "Surcharge Vertical Reading Up", first and third stamps with lower bars omitted, typical speckles from red blotting paper utilised to store the stamps on large part og.
