1862/68: 1 d. rose-red and 4 d. deep blue both in horizontal pairs with single 6 d. deep green, perf. 11-12½, all used on 1868 double rate cover to the Duke of Polignac in Paris, cancelled by three bold strikes of the vertical "A10" obliterator with manuscript '1/3d.' credit in red crayon alongside at left. 'London / Paid' transit (Nov 26) and circular PD in red with Calais transit cds also on obverse. Illustrated in 'St. Vincent' by Pierce, Messenger & Lowe on page 35.
