1861: 1 d. rose-red, a vertical pair used with 1862 6 d. deep green on 1866 cover to the Duke of Polignac in Paris, tied by two strikes of the Kingstown "A10" obliterator and 'St. Vincent' despatch cds in black (Dec 10). Manuscript '7d.' credit in red crayon below and 'London / Paid' transit cds (Dec 31) with corresponding oval 'PD' in red and Calais transit alongside (Jan 1, 1867).
