    Surcharged by the 'West Indian Press' 1878 (March 28): Provisional 1 d. on half 5 s. rose, perf. 15½ x 15, surcharge reading up, a used horizontal pair, both stamps showing '1' with curved serif (Type 3a), centred to right with tiny trace of aging, superbly cancelled by numeral "7" bootheel of St. James Parish in black. Rare. Certificate BPA (1951) Gi = £ 2'500.
