    1897: De La Rue Imperforate Plate Proof for the King George II 2½ d. black & blue, an unused block of eight (4 x 2), marginal from base of sheet on ungummed watermarked paper, dated "1.1.1901" in pencil manuscript in margin, the central vignette displaced to lowerr right which is unusual in a file copy Proof sheet. Rare, illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 6331.
