1874: "Contra Sello" Type II overprint on 2 r. green, used on 1876 cover to Bordeaux, cancelled in black with segmented lozenge (also tied by Calais entry marking) with despatch "LA LIBERTAD / SALVADOR" cds at left (July 10). Prepaid as far as Panama with British P.O. "PANAMA - TRANSIT" cds (July 18) in black. Thence via London (Aug 15) and struck there with "T / 1-70" accountancy marking in blue. Calais transit and charged with handstruck '23' décimes charge in black. The cover with file folds and pinholes away from adhesive and minor aging but a very rare stamp on letter. Certs.
