Antilles 1856: Cuba 1 r. yellow-green on rough paper, ample to large margins all round, used on 1861 second sheet of entire letter to La Rochelle endorsed "voie d'Engleterre" but instead mailed by Portugal and Spain; tied by oval network handstamp in black. "PONCE / PUERTO RICO" cds in blue below (Oct 8), thence with entry marking 'ESP. ST. JEAN DE LUZ 3 / AMB.F' cds (Dec 1) with La Rochelle arrival (Dec 3) on reverse; taxed '4' décimes due to pay in manuscript.
