1879 (Oct 28): Cover with complete original contents written from Callao, reverse with handstamped "VICTORIEUSE / LE COMMISSAIRE / de la division navale du pacifique" in blue. Franked by France Type Sage 15 c. blue pair tied / deleted in manuscript by blue crayon cross at British P.O. with "PANAMA / TRANSIT" three line dated handstamp (Nov 7). Thence via London (Dec 2) where "T / 1-10" applied in black. Charged with handstruck '16' décimes handstamp, the 30 c. franking credited on arrival (Dec 4) and tax reduced to '13' décimes in manuscript and the stamps were again cancelled in Toulon.
