Antilles 1896: Haiti 2 c. red-brown, five examples including a strip of three, used on 1897 cover to Bordeaux endorsed "par S.S. Prins Willem IV, via New York", with triangular "T" mark in black below. Found to be double weight, original franking ignored and taxed at double deficiency with Postage Due 50 c. lilac-brown in an interpanneau pair (Jan 10, 1898); together with an entirely underpaid 1891 single rate cover sent stampless to Paris from Port au Prince (June 1) taxed on arrival with 10 c. black (2) and 30 c. black on arrival (June 17).
