Italy 1873/94: Lot ten covers incl. 1873 cover paid only at the Italian inland rate, 1874 printed matter franked correctly at the 6 c. printed matter rate with DLR 1 c. & 5 c., taxed as the item was sent with a commercial steamer, 1876/77 two covers paid only at single rate abroad, 1879 envelope franked in Rome with French adhesives, 1888 open mourning envelope franked insufficiently with only 2 c. instead of 5 c. first with a timbre taxe Duval 10 c. then with a rare pair of 3 c. black (Maury 12 = € 700+), 1887 unfranked cover taxed with Duval 10 c. and a rare pair of 20 c. (Maury 17 = € 500+), 1893 Italian telegram forwarded unpaid from a hotel in Genova to one in Nice and taxed with rare Duval 50 c. black (Maury 20 = € 475).
