1865: 1 a. brown, a used example on 1876 Indigo Circular wrapper from Calcutta to Paris with printed endorsement "Via Bombay & Brindisi", tied by mute barred obliterator in black. Calcutta despatch cds on reverse (Jan 7) and struck in Bombay with scarce framed "GB / 12F 20c." accountancy marking in black. Circular "POSS. ANG. V. SUEZ / ALEXANDRIE" in red (Jan 24) and taxed with handstruck '20c.' due marking with Paris arrival at left.
