1882: Cover from Hong Kong endorsed "Voie Anglaise" mailed with France Type Sage 3 c. buff on yellow and 15 c. blue pair left uncancelled; struck with "HONG KONG" code P cds (Dec 26) and circular "T" mark alongside in black. The French stamps eventually cancelled by "Modane a Paris" datestamps in red (Jan 28, 1883) and, on arrival in Brest charged with 1881/92 Postage Due 20 c. black (Maury T17) with confirming manuscript '0.20' alongside.
