    Second War of Italian Independence 1859, incoming: Entire letter written in Grand-Bornand, Savoy and despatched from Thones, directed to a serviceman in the 2nd grenadiers regiment to Piemont in the Italian campaign, bearing Sardinia 1859 10 c. 'bruno violaceo', a fine and fresh adhesive with large even margins, well embossed, tied by indistinct "THONES 9 .. .." cds (Sassone CH = 6 punti). Reverse with Annecy transit, indistinct Sardinian ambulant and "R. POSTA MILe. SARDA (N. 1) 13 LUG 59" Fieldpost arrival cds's.
