    1850: Carta a mano 15 c. red-vermillion type IIb, plate 3 in a block of four and a single example of the 30 c. brown type I, fresh and fine adhesives with good to enormous margins all round, the 30 c. applied over the block of four, all tied by framed "MILANO : 12 - 11" (1852) despatch datestamps, on large sized cover to Verona. Reverse with arrival cds of the next day, front with distribution handstamp. Vertical file fold well away from the franking, 30 c. adhesive detached for inspection and hinged back, a most interesting and exceptional combination to pay the 90 c. rate for a double rate cover in the third rayon beyond 20 Austrian miles. Signed G. & A.
