    1799/1854c: Collection of about two hundred unfranked mainly prephilatelic letters with few exceptions all originating from "LONDON".  There is a great coverage of the 2 d. post in London with very little duplication, covering not only city and other central areas but "STOKE NEWINGTON" in 1836, "BRIXTON" in 1837, timed cachets such as Lombard St "7 o' Clock Night Two Penny PPaid" in red and other similar cachets. Further there are letters to foreign destinations including a letter from London to "COGNAC" missent via Prussia. Rewarding Lot.
