    1935/1940 (May): King Carol II definitive issues, the 8 new values and colour changes, as sent to the UPU in horizontal strips of three and forwarded on to the Mauritanian Post Office where kept as examples of new issues; with 2 l. green, 3 l. greenish-blue, 5 l. carmine, 8 l. red lilac,  9 l. blue, 12 l. deep blue, 15 l. blackish-brown and 24 l. bright carmine all applied to part page and each security handstamped with three line "SPÉCIMEN / COLLECTION / MAURITANIE" cachets in rose-red. All are unique.
