    1897 (Jan 1): Central American Exhibition, Guatemala; gold tooled blue hardbound Souvenir Booklet "Exposición Centro-Americana / 1897 / Souvenir / Del Correo de Guatemala / Aministración / Reyna Barrios", with enclosed letter from Schwarz & Co. to business contact, one Theodor Meyer presenting the booklet which bears a listing of all stamps issued by the Guatemalan Post Office from 1871 onwards, illustrations of President Barrios, list of all Guatemalan Post Offices (both first and second class), picture of the outside and inside of the Guatemala City Chief P.O., and two pages of imperforate colour reproductions of the 1897 special issue. Rare and superb.
