    French Shipmail: Lettersheet from Caracas to Vera Cruz, endorsed "pr Vapor frances", bearing Sage 1 fr. green bronze in type I, tied by octogonal "VENEZUELA PAQ. FR. A No 2 6 MAI 79" Shipmail datestamp in red, information strike alongside. Reverse with "ST. THOMAS 14 / 5 1879" transit cds in black. Vertical file fold well away from the adhesive, nevertheless an interesting Ship cover. Transported with the French steamer 'St. Germain' to St. Thomas, Danish West Indies with the vessel running between Colon and St. Nazaire. In St. Thomas the cover was transferred to another vessel which brought it to Vera Cruz, Mexico.
