    1872: Border Entire letter from Pontarlier to Couvet, bearing Cérès 5 c. green on azure in a horizontal strip of four, a splendid multiple tied by light Gros Chiffres '2964' lozenge, despatch cds in black (Jan 21, 1874) and framed PD in red alongside. Reverse with arrival cds of the same day. Lightest horizontal file fold well away from the multiple, nevertheless a marvelous presentation of this French-Swiss border rate which was lower than the regular French inland rate.
