    1851 (March 8): Entire letter from Lima to Arequipa, carried on Soutbound PSNC Steamer "New Granada", struck with "11" numeral obliterator in black, with transit of straight line "ISLAY" handstamp in oxidised red. The "New Granada" left Callao on March 10 and arrived in Valparaiso on the 20th. A rare and fine entire.rnrnNote: Only three covers are known with this numeral cancellation, all via Islay, Jan 7, 1851 (an example can be seen in the Gregory Frantz collection, Corinphila sale 261, lot 6325) on the Vapor "Chile"; and two from this sailing on 10 March 1851.
