RMSP 1872: Registered cover from Port of Spain to Godalming franked by 1863/76 4 d. violet and 1 s. lilac rose in a horizontal pair, wmk. Crown CC, tied by TRINIDAD double arc cds (April 9) in black with "TRINIDAD / PAID" in red at left. Straight line REGISTERED in red and "♚ / REGISTERED" of arrival (April 29) in red. Carried on the Steamer "Tyne" to St. Lucia and "Arno" to St. Thomas, thence on the "Elbe" to Plymouth. Reverse with "Colonial Postmaster / Trinidad" red wax seal. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 173.
