    RMSP 1859: Cover from Buenos Ayres to Rome, franked by Jan 1859 'Barquitos' 1 p. indigo, two examples, each with good margins for this issue tied by 'ponchitos' handstamps in black. "CORREOS DE BUENOS AIRES" cds alongside (May 28) in black. Reverse with British Post Office BUENOS AYRES cds (May 28) in blue. Carried on the "Camilla" to Rio, and the "Tyne" to Southampton. London cds (July 4) in red and struck there with "GB / 1F 60c." accountancy marking in black; Calais transit of same day. Reverse with Civitavecchia and Rome / Via Di Mare datestamps where charged '56' bajocchi due to pay. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 103. A quite beautiful and outstandingly rare cover.
