    Mail carried by British Ships 1813 (Jan 19): Entire letter from Rio de Janeiro to Guernsey, landed at Devonport and struck with superb oval framed "Ship Lre / ♚ / PLYMOUTH DOCK" struck in red (Robertson S2), a scarce usage of this handstamp. Rated '1/4 d.' to pay in manuscript upon receipt, Ship Letter rate of 4 d., Plymouth Dock to Weymouth (100 miles) 9 d., and Weymouth - Channel Islands Packet rate of 3 d. = 1/4 d. to pay.
