    1861: 1 d. rose-red, a horizontal pair used with 1862 6 d. deep green on 1868 cover to the Duke of Polignac in Paris, tied by three strikes of the Kingstown "A10" obliterator in brownish ink and 'St. Vincent' despatch cds in (May 10). Manuscript '7d.' credit in red crayon below and 'London / Paid' transit cds (May 28) with corresponding circular and oval PD in red and blurred Calais transit alongside, reverse with Paris arrival (May 29) in black. Some aging around the adhesives but a scarce and attractive combination usage.rnProvenance: SG, London, 4 Sept 1979, lot 78.
