    1938: Waterlow Pictorial issue, Essay for the proposed 2 s. 6 d. value 'Fort James', hand-painted in blue, black and pale blue with printed head-plate in black, sky and lettering in Chinese white on card (140 x 88 mm.) in horizontal format, similar to the design of the issued 3 d. value, painted by the designer A.
