    1856 (Aug 29): Prepaid registered cover to Trujillo with '1½ oz.' at left and rate '9' (reales) in manuscript at right, struck with oval framed HUAMACHUCO despatch handstamp (Lamy & Rinck fig. 8), straight line FRANCA and framed CERTIFICADO all in red; with '#' surround to denote registration. Manuscript at lower left "Sale de esta en 29 de Agosto de 1856" and reverse with "Porte 9, Droi (registration) 6" and internally signed as received. Some aging but a magnificent and rare cover - all three handstamps unrecorded by Colareta in the pre-stamp period.
