    1872: Entire letter from Paris to Santiago de Chile, endorsed with VOIE DE SOUTHAMPTON and VOIE DE PANAMA handstamps in blue, bearing Cérès 80 c. rose and pair 25 c. blue type III, tied by Star '26' obliterator, Paris Gare du Nord despatch cds (Dec 1, 1874), framed "P.P." and London transit cds (Dec 2) as well as '10' due upon arrival, all in red alongside. An interesting and attractive item showing the correct franking of 130 centimes, part paying the journey until the harbour of disembarkation in the July 1871 tariff.
