    1870: Cover from Marseille to Livorno, bearing Siège 20 c. blue in mixed franking with Cérès 1872 25 c. blue, tied by Gros Chiffres '2240' numeral lozenge, "MARSEILLE 4 OCT. 71" cds and framed PD in red alongside. Reverse with Italian ambulant and arrival (Oct 6) cds's. Interesting mixed usage of the same colour but different face values, presumably a franking error of the sender.
