    1879: 2 r. rose on cream postal stationery envelope, a used example (H&G B3b) addressed to Riverside, California cancelled by "CORREOS DE SALAMA" datestamp (July 12, 1879) in black. Reverse with 'Guatemala' octagonal transit in blue /July 15). The envelope further cancelled in transit by 'San Francisco' cds (Aug 12) and taxed with 1878 Postage Due 5 c. brown pair. Slight opening tears at lower right but very rare - Goodman (Volume I, pages 84-87) records just four usages of the 2 reales envelope. Rare.
