    1925 (May 21-27): Emergency Flights - Arapey to Artigas, Headed envelope GENERAL ELECTRIC Uruguay Esq. Ciudadela  Montevideo dated May 14 to Artigas, franked at 5 c. surface rate tied by Montevideo cds and additional "CORREO_AEREO / ARTIGAS R.D." rubber  handstamp IN BLACK, backstamped on reverse "Artigas 24.V.-25". In May 1925 the railroad bridge at Cuaro y Yacui was destroyed, to solve the problem Air force Captain Glauco Larre  Borges using a Breguet 14 plane and made 11 emergency flights between may 21 -27 until the bridge was repaired. Scarce, only five covers and two fragment with this handstamp known.
