    1853: Entire letter from Glasgow to Easton, PA, USA endorsed 'per Royal Mail Steamship 24' (cents), most unusually struck with framed "HOPE / STREET" and 'Glasgow' cds in black (April 1), carried on Cunard 'America' with BR PACKET / 24 / BOSTON arrival (April 15) with "19 / CENTS" British credit in green. Slightly soiled but unusual.
