    1916 (Dec 23): Registered cover from Kyoto to Basel, Switzerland, a well decorated envelope bearing 1914-25 20 s. claret, tied by Japanese cds with bilingual Yokohama Transit cds in violet (Dec 24) alongside and two diff. types of registration labels from Kyoto and Yokohama, opened in transit by the French censor and and closed with the matching strip, reverse with Basel arrival cds (Feb 5, 1917). An appealing cover.
